"great value!" I've stayed here twice in 2006 on business. For the money it's a great value. Rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable, service is great, breakfast is good, and the staff speaks English. The hotel is convenient to public transportation (tram and subway are very close by), restaurants and shopping districts, and the Dom is within walking distance (if you like walking a bit). Wireless internet access is also available for a small fee. A few things to be aware of: there are big differences in the quality and size of rooms because the hotel is in several sections. If you have trouble climbing stairs with luggage it may not be the best choice, since some elevators start on the floor above the lobby. If the hotel is busy the lobby can get quite smoky and the hotel bar is noisy at night (although very well soundproofed). The only problem we experienced was not being able to check in until 1:30 pm after an early morning arrival from a transatlantic flight. Suggest contacting the hotel in advance if you need to check in early!

"A great place to saty" I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. I went with four friends (all of us 21) and had a fab time. We were impressed with the hotel as soon as we walked in, lovely, grand reception area and even though we arrived about 11.30pm, we were told there was live jazz music in the bar until 3am - great start to the holiday. Bar was lovely and cosy, drinks about 5E50. We had a double and triple room between our party, both were quite basic but clean. The cleaner came round every day and did a great job. Showers we nice and powerful and the hot water was in constant supply. Hotel is a good half hour walk to the centre but there are plenty of ice cream stops on the way! Also there are loads of bars and restaurants around - Das Ding down the road is full of friendly students and Bar Friday was pay 10E drink all you like! Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful - we ended most nights with a marathon game of cards in the room and even though we bought our wine from the off licence down the road, the reception staff still sent up wine glasses and a corkscrew - what more could you want?!
