"Best Room ever"
We stayed here a couple of nights during the Xmas markets in December. The room was like a suite to the rich & famous, don't think it was what we had booked, it seemed like an upgrade. We've never stayed in a hotel in such luxury, tvs both bedrooms, exercise bike, fitted kitchen, huge rooms etc, etc. We're touring Germany in July 2005 and making a point of staying 1 night here. Breakfast was self service, and plenty of it, hot & cold. Drinks at the bar slightly more expensive that locally, but not unusual for a hotel. Only downside was the temperature outside. It felt like -10 centigrade, far too cold to walk about, a pity because we would have liked to explore the city for 1 day. Would highly recommend this hotel. It's also right next to the train station, 50yrds, and 100 yards to the famous Cologne cathedral.

"Class act, great location & nog your average Sheraton"
If you travel by train, this is your hotel. Though immediately across the street from the train station, soundproofing gives you a quiet room.
If you think of Sheratons in the USA as not quite up to par - that is not the case in Europe. This hotel provides every amenity that anyone of any need could demand or possibly need. The rooms (I had two suites) that I had were extremely large (larger than an Embassy Suites room in the USA). One even had a mantle with electric fire place. Each had a large balcony, sitting room and very tastefully decorated bedroom. My largest suite had an exercise bike in the bathroom, a garden tub, shower and was enormous.
The staff in this hotel speaks impeccable English and is worthy of commendation on their attitude. The restaurant provides reasonably priced, decent meals.
On a 12 day trip through Europe and 5 different hotels, this one ranked at the very top - even taking into account a 5 star hotel in Venice.
Without hesitation, I highly recommend this hotel.

"Better than expected!!!!"
I stayed here when I visited Cologne with my partner in May.....I was pleasantly surprised on arrival to discover we had been upgraded to a suite.
The room was extremely comfortable and large, with kitchen, lounge, walk-in wardrobe and balcony....
The balcony overlooked the Main train station (Bahnhof) and was shadowed by the superb Dom cathedral, a must see attraction. The main square at the cathedral is approximately a 5-7min walk.
There are an abundance of things to do and see in Cologne, for which this hotel is a great base, the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and cooperative, especially the bar staff. I had read this comment on Trip Advisor before booking and agree hole-heartedly!
The breakfast, which was included in the price, was extensive, covering a multiple of appetites, to satisfy a diverse range of customers.
The only downfall I could find, which for most is probably not even worth a mention, is the lack of free car parking. There is a Parking Lot close by and the price was very reasonable. For those of you travelling to Cologne, check for concerts and shows that may be on, as there seemed to be posters everywhere for some very popular acts, the Reception staff are very informative when it comes to this, Anyway, thats about it, enjoy your trip!

"Great hotel, Great location"
A great hotel, as always, Sheraton quality, at a great location in Cologne. It's across the street from the Main train station, so it's ideal if you arrive, tired on a train, or have an early train to catch. My biggest regret was that our train left as breakfast was starting, so we didn't have an opportunity to try it.
The staff was friendly, and spoke excellent English.
Not much else to say, top of the line all around!
